I awoke to this at 4:30 this morning. Not a great way to wake up.
Stay safe, LAOppos

Mine is on silent and since I know that some things still come through (dang advertisers), I keep the volume turned down to zero. My wife’s phone is another story....

Good news, there are only three names still available (Teddy, Vicky, and Wilfred)! That means the Earth has to stop making these storms right?

You can always run north if things get bad. We have very little prep to do. Get some gas. Make a run to the grocery store. Pick up the last of the limbs I cut yesterday. That’s about it for us!

Nope:
There are six lists of names which rotate every six years and begin with the first letters A—W used, skipping Q and U, and alternating between male and female names.

I assume there are too few names with those letters for that to make sense, and historically, running out of names hasn’t been much of an issue
